New Orleans, Louisiana

Have you ever found that one food that you will go out of your way, regularly, to eat? For me, it is Charbroiled Oysters, especially the ones from Drago’s in New Orleans. Not only are they buttery and seasoned perfectly, but they are served with this French bread that is so soft on the inside, but crispy and crumbly on the outside.

There are a few locations now in the southern United States, but the one I was able to go to the most is actually in the Hilton hotel in downtown New Orleans, which happens to be next to the Cruise port. What better way to start your vacation than dropping off your luggage to the porters, heading over to get some fantastic NOLA seafood, and then getting on the boat?!

Now, you might have tried raw oysters before and thought, ewww! BUT I highly recommend you give these a chance! You’ll recognize a theme with a lot of my recommendations – I will always try something at least once as long as others have gone before me and survived. I’m so glad I followed that mindset or else I would have missed out on these delectable treats!
